Cheap Costa Almeria Holidays

Cheap Holidays to Costa Almeria

Sunshine, sand, surf - the Costa de Almeria has everything you could want from a Spanish holiday. But it’s got something extra special that sets it apart from the rest. Since it’s one of the least developed of the Spanish Costas, it’s wonderfully uncrowded and incredibly beautiful, too. In fact, this south-eastern corner of Spain lays on scenery like it’s going out of fashion. Sandwiched between the Sierra Nevada and the Med, it’s one long, ever-changing ribbon of golden sands, volcanic coves and craggy headlands. And dotted along its shores lie a bevy of relaxed resorts, the sort of which everyone thinks Spain doesn’t do anymore. There’s Mojacar, a sugar-cube town peering down over Blue Flag beaches.

Roquetas de Mar, a lively bucket-and-spade bolthole where calm waters lap sands that stay uncongested. And laid-back places, like Almerimar and Carboneras, whose beaches promise to keep sun-worshippers happy as sandboys. But there’s more to this Costa than just lying back and catching the rays. When you’re ready to explore, there’s plenty to get you reaching for the map. Head for the hills and wander around the ridiculously pretty Andalucian villages. Check out the city of Almeria, with its palm-lined plazas and Arab fortress. And don’t miss the dazzling Tabernas Desert, with its cactus-dotted landscapes straight out of a Spaghetti Western. Or the Cabo de Gata, a breathtaking National Park whose saltwater lagoons turn pink with flamingos. With all this on offer, one thing’s for sure, this corner of Spain stands apart from the rest – it’s the Costas, but not as you know it.

Love the beach!

5.0/5.0

Nice resort and the beach is cleaned every morning. Plenty to do at night as it was cooler then. The promenade is great and goes on for miles either way.
